Trolley jacks are used for raising vehicles to carry out essential maintenance work such as changing tyres or for inspection of the underside of the vehicle.

Can I just use the standard jack that came with my vehicle?

Yes of course you can but these are notoriously unsteady whilst only allowing a limited jacking height, the other disadvantage of the manufacturer supplied jack is it has to be used in a specific location on the vehicle limiting how it can be raised. This means the standard scissor jack is only designed for roadside emergencies.

The long wheel base and rear swivel wheels of our trolley jack increases both manoeuvrability and stability compared to a standard scissor jack, making it a mechanics 'best friend'.

Simple handle operation is used for both raising and lowering. This particular trolley jack has a quick lift system. A black lever on the side of the jack which is operated by the handle, within 3-4 pumps the jack will be at the lifting point of the vehicle ready to be jacked up in the conventional way.

Once the vehicle is raised to the desired height it is recommended it then be supported by jack stands for added safety. A carry handle on the body of the jack allows for ease of carrying.
