A bosuns chair is used for suspending people to work in the air. The advantage of this over a harness is more comfort for pro longed use however this does not allow as much freedom or movement as harness does for climbing etc.

This particular chair has safety straps on the front of the seat so that the user cannot slip through or fall. This has a velcro pocket on one side and 4 tool pockets on the other side.
