These fixed snap shackles have an endless list of uses and are extremely effective for various jobs. The pin itself is built into the hook itself during construction and therefore cannot be detached so you never have to worry about losing parts. The captive pin requires to be unscrewed twice before it will fully detach from the shackle to reduce the risk of losing the pin. These are hugely popular with the marine industry as they are manufactured from 316 grade stainless steel giving them the best rust protection.
